Well, I guess it’ll be useful historical study. Yonhap reported last week that Pyongyang revised key external economic laws last April, so your book is out of date.

Revised trade, customs laws give more power to
cabinet: documents
SEOUL, March 18 (Yonhap) — North Korea revised
its trade and customs laws last year to give its cabinet more power over the economy, a copy of the revised laws showed Monday.
The booklet on North Korea laws concerning external economic activities, secured by Yonhap News Agency, showed that the country revised its trade laws in April last year, a first since the previous revision in March 2007.
I have them buried in storage now but I bought a portion of this book in 2003 at the main English book store. It must have been just the one section on foreign investment as it not more than 100 pages (the cover is identical). In 2005 I bought a much longer updated one which may have been the 2005 full version described above. At the time my guide said new versions of these books are issued every few years. In 2008 I went looking for a new version but couldn’t find anything.
