Unless something truly amazing happens between now and December 15th, I will be taking a break for exams. After that I will play catch up and post the latest version of North Korea Google Earth—which has been significantly expanded.

Good luck on your exams and look forward to the next installment of your Google Earth project. It is one of the best resources I have ever seen. Thank you so much for your hard work my friend.
I wish you best luck with the exams as well! Looking forward to seeing the site updated again, NKEconWatch simply rocks, I never came across a better site about the DPRK 🙂
Good luck with your exams; I know the experience only too well. Nevertheless, when you’re back, I thought having a look at the effect of the current economic crisis on the DPRK would be interesting. For example, during the Great Depression, communist nations were quite proud to avoid the catastrophe that the ‘rest’ (the developed and capitalist nations, at the time not really even a majority!) of the world felt.
The Guardian has an article about Orascom’s new mobile phone service in North Korea. “Orascom’s chairman, Naguib Sawiris, has said he expects up to 10% of the population to use the service, with about 50,000 signing up in the first six months. Coverage will initially be limited to the capital and other big cities.” http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2008/dec/16/mobile-phones-north-korea-restricted
Best of luck with the exams!
Good luck to you on your exam! Hope to see you again soon.
