If this North Korean emigre in PRC is an indication, North Koreans believe South Koreans are just plain selfish and spoiled.

I disagree that nationalism is not strong in DPRK. One has to distinguish between the elites whose problems climbing the greasy pole have made them cynical and able to find viable places to flee, and those who have little other than running to PRC to save them. It might be propaganda, but it works: those spoiled brats would rather help themselves than their cousins in need. It looks like halfway to a decent critique of globalization and neo-liberalism.
