Mass Games to run through October 10

According to a recent update from Koryo Tours, this year’s mass games have been extended through October 10th, which is the 63rd Party Founding Day.

This might be the last time for Americans to visit Pyongyang until 2012.

  • There is a rumor that the mass games will not be held after this year util 2012, Kim il sungs 100th birthday. Since they (generally) do not allow US tourists to visit except during the games, that means we might be locked out intil then…

    Of course, they might decide to hold them again next year. There is no way to predict what will actually happen.

    There are other options if this happens…if you can dig up a passort from another country, maybe visit with the KFA, or take the 1 day trip to Kaesong from South Korea.
